The images of the two water crystals were photographed by the late Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto. For over 20 years, Emoto worked to demonstrate how the molecular structure of water changes depending on the stimuli it is exposed to. His research showed, among other things, how the structure of polluted water, after the influence of prayer, is changed and restored into beautifully formed geometric crystals, like those found in clean and healthy water.
The images illustrate how the water crystals changed in the water of Fujiwara Dam after the Buddhist priest of Jyuhoin Temple prayed over the water for an hour.
